April 7, 2010. At least three injured in Indonesia earthquake

A magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale earthquake struck the Indian Ocean some 204km (127 miles) northwest of Sibolga on Sumatra on April 7th, causing some damages, disrupting power supplies in Medan and Banda Aceh, and injuring at least three people, reports indicated. Local residents reportedly sought higher ground in some areas for fear of a tsunami.
